BlueFox, EVE Log - January 13th 2011

A full week has passed. I've been in a few scraps here and there, nothing major until last night. Before that, I was settling in to my PvP Incursus. I'd taken it along on some fleet trips as a tackle, grabbing a hold of anything I could find. Last night, I decided to go out and Solo.

After, getting a tad lost and ending up in a system with a swarm of War targets (In Amarr space, was closer) I was warping around looking for a good target. I was heading to a location a Corp friend of mine told me was good when I realised I was accidentally following in trail of an Amarr Cruiser. It saw me twice as I was warping along in tow. At the exit of the next gate, it waited for a bit to let me catch up. He obviously thought he could take me. As I stayed by the gate, still cloaked, I set myself to orbit, put on my afterburner and sped towards him. He got the first shot, he had long range turrets, the first shot scratched my armour. Through in 1 shot. I started to worry then, till I realised, he hadn't hit again, I was right on top of him, keeping him pinned with a web and Warp distorter. He had me unable to warp too but with his guns not even hitting me and with his shields dropping fairly rapidly, I knew I was going to win.

That was until he called for backup. The local chat that was at 4 members, spiked. I'd found the rear guard of a fleet. 10 more War Targets warped into the system. The first one arrived near me. I knew I needed to get out quickly. Therein lied the problem. Although he couldn't hit me at my current range, to be able to warp I had to get out of the range of is disrupter. As the second guy opened up fire on me I risked it. I would either escape or loose my ship. Annoyingly, I lost my ship. I managed to get my pod out before anyone got any Ideas. To see a guy call in a bunch of people because I was going to destroy his ship made me feel good.

I warped to high sec and had a little talk with him. We had a light hearted convo. Told him it was my first solo PvP experience. He told me that I should of used the chance while I was cloaked to run. I then told him I went to attack him, it wasn't a last resort and unless he had of called for backup, he would have been without a ship. Those last words seemed to hit him a bit because the next thing he did was give me 20 mill. That doubled my amount of money.

He told me that we'll meet again someday. All those usual promises and I hope I do. In that convo I found a guy who was in this for the same reason I was. For a laugh. We didn't care what we lost (Though it's always better to keep it) and with that, I bid him farewell and to fly safe, unless he sees me. So there we have it, a fun experience once again. Next time I'm heading out with one of the Corp heads for a little Double trouble. Should be fun. I'd advise all Calamari Militia to watch out.

Bluefox, EVE Log - January 6th 2011

It's been about 6 months since I've started (On & off). I've dabbled in most EVE past times: Mission Running, Courier contracts, Mining, Manufacturing, anything that gets me money. Today, I was a little bored. None of the Corp were on and I had an old Cruiser laying about. Having recently joined the Militia, the newest thret to us all, is the Caldari State.

As a Gallente member, we hate these people, for some boring back story reason. So, I decided to charge in with some basic fittings, see if I couldn't do some damage in a PvP environment. I warp in, ready to see what's about. I open up my map when suddenly, 5 enemies are littery on top of me. My heart just stepped rather quickly. I was expecting to meet 1 or 2 people, not 5 much more advance, powerful and better trained targets. I warped out of there fast to a different warp gate. On the other side was a nice surprise.

An allied fleet was warping about the place, looking for war targets. As they were there I asked if they could use an extra hand. So there I was, in my first ever war fleet. Not long after that after a few chat tweaks, I was in the voice chat. Now, first order of business warp to the next gate. What happened next was brilliant. A target jumped through the gate to find 20-25 people on the other side.

He attempted to get back to the gate. We swarmed him. Webbed him, he couldn't move. It was over in seconds.

I did such a pathetic attack it wasn't worth it, but still, here it was. My first fleet kill assist. It was good. Out fleet then warped abound into the Caldari space. We took out the next group of 7-8 ships. Mostly Battleships once again. After a total of 10 - 12 ship kills, we hadn't lost a single ship. I called it that for a night and flew the 5 jumps back to the safe zone.

So after 6 months, this day was more exciting than most of them combined. So forget your mining, it's good to start with to earn some money, but this is where the real EVE begins. Time for me to Upgrade my ship, bring a better one and next time, really pound some shields.

BlueFox Out.
